I am a Russian-born Australian portrait artist, and my artistic journey began at a very young age. I have always been deeply interested in people and in the way personality and character are revealed through a person’s eyes, facial expression and movement.

My approach is grounded in traditional drawing and painting, with a strong emphasis on freehand drawing, developed through many years of practice and observation.

In my oil painting, I am able to achieve photographic likeness without tracing or transferring from photographs, while also capturing the psychological character of my subject.

For me, beauty is harmony. It’s in everything, and I aspire to create a sense of poetry and harmony in my art.
